The Story Behind The Studio

From Private Lessons to a Musical Community

Musical Journeys began in 2010, when Rebecca Cypher started teaching private piano lessons.

Over the years, her private studio continued to grow, eventually becoming the Musical Journeys storefront on July 1, 2019.

What started as individual music lessons developed into a welcoming studio where students of different ages, abilities, and musical interests could learn, grow, and discover what they are capable of.

At Musical Journeys, we offer private music lessons in piano, voice, guitar, violin, viola, cello, bass, and flute. Each student learns differently, so our teachers create personalized instruction based on their goals, experience, interests, and learning style.

Whether a student is discovering music for the first time, preparing for NYSSMA or an audition, or working toward more advanced musical goals, we provide a supportive environment where they can build confidence, develop their skills, and enjoy the journey.
